Mixed Methods Research Approach and Its Application in The Field of Management Sciences

Abstract

The paper is centered on Mixed Method Research (MMR) which is made
up of quantitative and qualitative research methods. The choice of this
method is very important as it aids researchers to cater for increasing
complex needs of today’s researchers. It helps to overcome the
weaknesses witnessed by the use of quantitative and qualitative research
methods and enable researchers to produce refined results. It elucidates
the justifications for adopting Mixed Method Research (MMR). This
method integrates results of the two traditional methods. Based on the
notable works, types, and challenges of mixed method research were
explained. This is to assist new researchers and already existing ones in
the field of research.
